Tiek Easter

Every year, Jon's mom puts together this wonderful elaborate city-wide scavenger hunt centered on Christ for our Easter party. Each place we go we have a little activity or thing to do and then an egg containing a scripture clue of where to go next. So this year it was based in Salt Lake and it was wonderful.

Here's Tami and I each holding a niece or nephew. You can't really tell by the picture lighting, but we were wearing coordinating colors and thought it was photo worthy...

One of our stops was to fly kites and send our goals/promises up to heaven. A song comes to mind..."Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest height..." Mary Poppins anyone? :)We also divided up for a bit to each search for a certain prophet's grave stone in the SL cemetery by the Avenues. We got to go see President Hinckley's. It was a great experience. Even though he has gone, I still felt the spirit there where he is buried.

The last stop was going to be Temple square, but because of General Young Women's conference, we had to change plans...
But we all ended up at Texas Roadhouse for the end of a great trip and a fabulous dinner.

We also made a surprise stop at Memorial Park or something like that where a photographer was waiting for us to finally get a family picture of everyone (the Leavits are there in spirit...)!
