Spring Break in Sunny Arizona

We decided to have one last hurrah while we still had the chance to get off work and while I was in a comfy state to travel...
So we went to Arizona for a few days to visit my sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Jon. We stayed two nights with them and played Wii sports games and random stuff like me cutting his hair. They also made us a fabulous crepe breakfast the morning we left. Benfield's, you're awesome! (this pix was a bit of surprise to Jon B)

We also visited Jon's cousins, Jimmy & Jen and family with little guy Jameson and new baby Rollins. They grilled us up some yummy bbq chicken and Jen gave me a much needed faubulous massage. Arizona is a good place to visit we decided cause there's so much family in once close place. We also visited and stayed a night with my aunt and uncle Hayes and cousins Nick, Alex, and Spencer (whom I haven't seen in about 5 years or so) and their awesome new house they are building. They treated us to dinner at Eat at Joe's and banana sundaes and movie night and all. It was fun to see them all and introduce them to Jon. (I think the cousins are all still a bit weirded out to see me pregnant...)
We spent one morning/afternoon just hanging out and went to the local huge strip mall called Arizona Mills. We spent a number of hours there (during which we went to the theater there and saw "Race to Witch Mountain" and out of all the dozens of stores we went to, only bought one thing; the hat i'm wearing below. I was really proud of us.. ok me... for my lack of splurging!)
We had a bunch of fun. We really didn't see too much of the sun cause we were indoors and driving a lot but we did go swimming a couple of times which felt fabulous!

We also took our time and did a bit of site seeing on the way home..

Yes indeed. Down south, by Kanab, there's a small town with two cop cars, one stationed at each end of town (two blocks apart). While in AZ my aunt informed me that these "cops" are actually just dummy manicans. We couldn't resist. Risking a real cop showing up, we pulled over on our way home for a photo opp...
We had planned to stop and see this cave in Kanab on the drive home, but by the time we got to it they were already closed up. We instead decided to take pictures of Jon's tragic disappointment...

Yay for warm weather and sunny Arizona vacationing!

Hey, I didn't even know you were pregnant, but a big congrats to you anyway! (That's what I get for living in Oregon, no one tells me anything!) But, that's why I'm taking things into my own hands and getting everyone's Blogs. Anyway, cute picture of dissappointment outside the closed mine too!

Congrats again!
